Borrowers can place a reservation (sometimes known as a "hold") on a resource so that they can be made next in line to take the item out when it is returned. Borrowers can place reservations themselves and Eclipse.net users can reserve resources on their behalf, using Circulate. When a reservation is made, you will notice that all copies of a resource become reserved. This is how the reservation system ensures that the first person to return the book is the one that becomes notified.
The topics throughout this section explain they work and how you can manage reservations.
