When performing certain actions in Circulate, the system will sometimes display a notification instead of completing the action. For instance, should you try to issue a resource that is reserved by another borrower, the following may notification is displayed:

 

 

 

Similar notifications may display in other circumstances such as when issuing reference items, if a borrower is banned, when age restrictions apply or should you try to issue a resource that is on the shelf or when you try to issue a resource that is already on loan. Whether the prompt will show or not is highly dependant on the settings in the application. For instance, a notification about age restrictions will not display if age restrictions are not being applied in the settings.

 

In nearly all cases (with the exception being banned pupils), you can override the notification by clicking Yes when prompted.
