What is Hambase?

The 'Hambase' file is a repository of resource records that are added and maintained by Hampshire SLS. The purpose of importing this file is to automatically populate data on a resource record when it is being catalogued. After the Hambase file has been added, if you catalogue a resource with an ISBN that matches the ISBN of a resource in the Custom Catalogue (which is the name of the table where the file is located, Database / Custom Catalogue) then the details are used when cataloguing the resource.

The following fields are stored in the Custom Catalogue.
