!--- Important Note ---!

This topic contains instructions that are only applicable to a version that is hosted by MLS. Should you be wanting to integrate Active Directory into a library system that is installed locally within your organisation, see the installation documentation.

Before any Borrowers are linked to Active Directory, the task that links them needs to run successfully. The details in this topic explain how to schedule the Active Directory task in order to link the borrowers to AD.

·Make the necessary configuration for Active Directory as discussed in the topic Configuring Active Directory.

·Within Management, click Schedule from the right menu under Tools.

·From the Schedule box that opens, click the Schedule icon.

Active Directory matches Windows Network accounts by the First name and Last name fields in Active Directory. In order for the linking to work reliably, these fields need to match the ones stored on a borrower record card exactly.

·The Directory Services schedule box will open.

·Enter the settings including the Start Date, Start Time, Frequency and then click OK to save the changes.

·Back on the Schedule window, click the green arrow for the Directory Services to start running the task through immediately.
