This topic explains how to access and define the Shibboleth settings in the library application. Before continuing with this topic please ensure that the Shibboleth settings are known. For more information about Shibboleth and the LMS, see the Shibboleth Overview, here.

 

·Click Settings / Modules Settings / Shibboleth Settings from menu at the top of Management.

 

 

 

·The Shibboleth Settings window will appear on-screen. Enter the appropriate settings as necessary.

 

 

 

Matching Field - Select the appropriate field to match the user.

When the authentication service returns the details of the user, (i.e. SSID, Logon Name, MIS ID or barcode) this field is passed to the library management system. If this value is matched to a borrower, they may be logged in. The available options are:

 

 

 

Mode - Select the mode the Idp is using to pass information to the service provider. The available options are:

 

 

 

Artifcact Resolution Service URL - Enter the Artifact Resolution Service URL into the text box if this is required. This URL is only needed if the HTTP Artifact mode has been selected.

 

 

 

SSO Login Page URL - Enter the URL of the login page into this text box.

 

 

 

Service Provider Certificate - Use the upload controls to upload a SP Encryption Certificate (*.CER).

 

 

Service Provider encryption Certificate Password - Enter the SP encryption password into the text box.

 

 

 

Identity Provider Certificate Encryption Password - Use the upload controls to upload the Idp encryption certificate (*.CER).

 

 

 

·Click OK to confirm the configuration and save the details.
