Advanced Search

Select Advanced Search from the top right of the screen.

This will open the Advanced Search feature. By default it will have Advanced selected, this will conduct a search based on a set of specific criteria. This feature is modelled on boolean type searching and allows the user to significantly narrow down intended search results.

The user may also choose different methods of searching:

Click A-Z to search for resources in alphabetical order. This search can be further refined by choosing a focus field, such as Title or Author.

Click Views to search the catalogue based on parameters set by the Librarian in various Page Views.

Click Picture to search under the illustrated topics such as Animals, Geography and Sport.

Click Simple to return to the normal Quick Search options.
