Change your password
When you first access your system, change your password. The unique password that is issued with the system is complex and can easily be forgotten and misplaced. If you happen to lose your password it can be reset here. Please note that only authorised contacts can reset the system passwords.

Adding Resources
Next, it is recommended to start adding books to your system. If you have converted from a previous library system then it is likely our conversions team will have converted the data and may not need to add as many but still have a look at the resources below as it won't be long before needing to add addition resources. Here are some resources to help:

Enrolling Borrowers
After cataloguing the resources, enrolling borrowers should be considered in preparation for them taking books out of the library. Note that if using MLS Connect or other automated mechanisms of importing borrowers then this might not be applicable as the borrowers may already be enrolled.

Reminders & Reports
When borrowers begin to issue and return resources there are always borrowers who return resources late or keep books for a long time without sending them back. At this stage it might be a good idea to generate reminders for them. In addition, you may want to know who is / who is not borrowing resources and what is being borrowed.

Creating Logins for the users
To make the most out of the system it is highly recommended to allow borrowers to log in to their accounts. When a borrower logs in to the library system, their experience is enhanced. Now they are able to Reserve books, check what they have been borrowing and write book reviews either from their smart phones or the computer, from home or from within the school.
