Circulate describes the part of the library system where resources can be issued and returned from. Although the primary function of Circulate is to issue and return, there are also many other functions which can be handled through Circulate, that are described throughout this section.

Note that the Circulate tool is only available to users that are using the Eclipse front-end. Should you be using a Junior Librarian Interface, the option for Circulate will not be available in Management and can be accessed from the home page instead.

There are many ways to identify a borrower (and a resource) in Circulate and the system can integrate with RFID, barcode scanners and biometric readers. This guide does not include installation or setup-related instructions for any of the hardware that the system can be used with. See the appropriate documentation in MyMLS should you need to install additional hardware.

There is also a video showing how to issue and return resources in the Video Tutorials section. Be sure to check this out for a visual demonstration.
