You can apply a Record Selection to a page view which allows you to set the default search parameters. For example, you might be creating a page view for DVD's and may only ones of a certain genre to show when that page view is clicked. To do this, you could add a record selection to the view.

In addition to the record selection, you may also customise the default sort order for that view. The sort order defines the way that the resources are shown on screen when a view is accessed. For example, the resources can be sorted based on the title, in alphabetical order.
