Output, Orientation and the Recipient

As well as being able to change the content of the reminders, it is also possible to specify the recipient, define the method to send the reminder and change the orientation. Different settings can be applied to each reminder. It is not uncommon for example, that the first 3 Reminders are printed and handed to the Borrower but Reminder 4 would be emailed directly to the Borrowers Guardian.

 

This topic and the steps below show how to change the following 3 settings:

 

Send the Reminder to

This is the recipient, a reminder can be sent directly to the Borrower or can be sent to the Guardian (1 or 2).

Output

Defines whether the reminder is emailed or printed (or emailed and printed)

Orientation

Changes whether the reminder is generated in Landscape or Portrait format.

 

 

·Access the Reminder editing window for the appropriate reminder as described here.

 

·Select the Options tab

 

 

 

·Click the drop-down arrow on the Send the reminder to combo box and select default person that this reminder should be sent to, for example, Guardian 1.

 

 

 

·After choosing the intended recipient, choose how this reminder should be sent. Click on the drop down arrow on the Output to combo box and select the desired format for that reminder, for example, Printer.

 

 

 

It is possible to override the Output settings when sending reminders manually. If they are being generated on a schedule then the settings defined here are used. Please see the topics Manually Generating Individual Reminders or Scheduling Reminders for more information.

 

 

·Select the orientation from the last drop down menu as shown below.
